Our passion for cookery comes from our Mum who found in food the best way to show her love. Growing up in an Iraqi household, our kitchen was the central hub of life where family and friends were always welcome and well fed. It taught us that food is more than fuel – it is love, family and history.
As teenagers, we would spend weekends hovering over Mum as she cooked a dish and watching her every stir, addition and bake. Eventually, we started to cook beside her. And eventually, we started to cook for friends and family.
Through cooking for others, and ourselves, we want to bring people together - whether it’s their first or hundredth time of sampling the cuisine - and celebrate Middle Eastern traditions, culture and heritage.
